Remember that Seinfeld episode where the whole show was in reverse? The wedding in India one? Well I am going to attempt that in this post - because I wasn't sure really where to start. So I am starting with the most recent event and working my back to the beginning and then hopefully bringing it all back around to the present day. Blogging is new for me and I really should have blogged about this at least 3 weeks earlier (like right after it happened, duh). Sooo . . .here goes, hope it makes sense:)
It had been a long time since I scrapbooked. Too long too remember. So when I heard that Donna Downey was coming to the midwest a few weeks ago, I casually asked my husband "would you like to drive me to Detroit this weekend and stay overnight?" and he said "sure anything for you baby" because he is awesome like that. I got to take not one but two of Donna's classes Bloom and Celebrate Life and they were both amazing! If you are anywhere near anywhere she is teaching workshops , you really really really should go! And if you are lucky like me she will go with you to get your nose pierced and video tape the whole process in between her workshop schedule. And yes it hurt.
Here is where we start to go in reverse. A few weeks before Donna came to Detroit she emailed me and told me that she was majorly re-doing her studio and asked if I would make her a custom print that was to be the focal point of the room. Now this is a girl whose blog I have been stalking (I mean reading with much interest) for a few years now. I totally remember drooling over the last studio remodel she did. So I emailed her back and said sure I would love to do that! But then I got real nervous - I mean what could I possibly create - this girl is an artist???? And then the words "focal point" hit me - uhh no pressure there. Donna knew what she wanted - the words on the print have huge personal meaning to her so several emails later we had a color scheme and design with the words "you are right where you should be".
It turned out great! Donna loved it and it looks fabulous in her studio!
Donna's print is a 30x30 size gallery wrapped canvas print. This design is also available in 20x20 and 12x12 gallery wrap canvas.
This is where we come around full circle and we are back in the present day. The prints are available here
But wait there is a little secret - Donna is going to give one away on her blog on Thursday December 3! So go there and enter and make sure you also check out all her new stuff!!!
