Behind the Design - Entertaining Angels

My Grandma on my mom's side lived on a lake.  Growing up, we spent ALOT of time at her house with cousins, friends, neighbors.  Anyone and everyone was welcome, there was always enough food, and I never saw my Grandma stressed about any of it.  She enjoyed every minute of her family, her friends and her home.  I LOVED going to her house and spending the week fishing, picking berries and going to the library.

Hebrews 13:2.  This scripture is sooo my Grandma.  It totally reminds me of her. 
that is her rooster pitcher.  She collected pitchers and her collection was something she gave to me before she passed away several years ago.

Got Wall Space?

When you walk into our house from the front door you look to the right is my office and to the left is the dining game room.  Immediately in front of you is the stairway. We have lived in our house for 8 years.  To me, this wall is a focal point when anyone comes in the front door.  There is also a big window above our front door so you can see this wall before you even come in the house.

We had a big clock there that was really cute when we first bought it.  Then somehow. . . it got not cute anymore.  I know that if my mom reads this she will be cringing at my grammar.  Sorry!!  I thought it best expressed my point that way:)

Anyway, when we had these pictures taken of the kids I had no wall space.  And since the clock was no longer cute, it got moved to the basement.

Voila!  Wall Space!!  Here is the view up the stairs now when you walk into our house . . .

These pictures are 2 years old now.  (Yes, we just hung them up a few months ago:)  They've changed a bit, but the Word hasn't.  They are growing in wisdom and favor every day between God and man.  Luke 2:52.

Dream spaces are back!  

We have a whole new Love Is Everything section we are featuring in celebration of February, the month of Love!!  Our friend Emily has created another lovely room featuring one of our favorite love prints Love Never Fails in a 20x20 cafe mount. Emily of Decorchick is a pro at knowing how to pull a room together with a wall hanging, pillows and pink (love) curtains..The color combination is absolutely fabulous ~ artistic and chic.

I love the idea of coordinating the red and pink with the gray!  Thank you Emily for creating and sharing another designer room for us all to marvel at!! You have again inspired us.

Love Never Fails!

Valentines Day is coming up!  

We have some really cute Love prints I want to share with you!  I thought what better way to "show" you a print.. then to display it in one of our Dream Spaces!!  I have chosen our 1 Corinthians 13 in 20x20 Cafe Mount which also comes in 12x12 Cafe Mount , 12x12 Gallery Wrap, 20x20 Gallery Wrap and in all these fab colors... black, cream and gray!!

1 Corinthians 13, our print of the month, is one of my favorite versus.. the greatest blessing we can offer ourselves and others is to LOVE ...really.. really love one another!!  This print speaks to that and is such a great reminder to read.. and re-read .. and remind.. and think about! I have this print on my desk and I read it everyday!! : )

Just in case you ever wondered how to decorate your foyer.. we have some wonderful inspiration!  Kate, from ColorInc. marketing, has created another fantastic blend of functional and chic.  Check out the choice of gray's and yellows!  So pretty and cheerful as you enter a home!  Love Never Fails 4 in yellow is featured coupled with My House Modern in our larger 20x30!  Both these prints come in in gray with yellow and turquoise.. which make a great pairing!  We think it is such a wonderful inspiration to have words of love  placed around your home!  I hope we gave you a few ideas with these dream spaces!
