Amidst a fun weekend filled with family and eggs and chocolate there is a reason. . . 

The Risen King - its amazing to me how powerful music can be as we listen over and over again and really let the words minister to us

I LOVE this song and this version by Owl City in particular. . . 

In Christ Alone - play it over and over if you want!  Turn it up loud!! I may or may not have brought my daughter in late to afternoon kindergarten a few weeks ago and had to explain that In Christ Alone - my favorite song - came on the radio just as we were pulling in:)

Need A Few More Mother's Day Ideas?

 

Mom's special day is right around the corner.. we know that it can be hard to figure out the perfect gift for her!  Something she will love.. something that she can keep ... and something really unique to her!!

Happy Mother's Day!! We Have Ideas for You....

           

We love that there is a day to celebrate mamma's in this world!  Mom's do so much for us everyday and mean so very much!  We wanted to give you some unique ideas to show your mom how special she is to you!

Mathews 7:7 Ask Seek Knock - wise moms know that those who ask receive, those who seek find and those who knock have the door opened. . .  this print has a darling green flower and is extra perfect for the mom who loves flowers. loves the garden.. or loves just a splash of cheerful color!

Coffee is a new print and quickly becoming a favorite!  This is a great print for mom who love their java!!  Great for the kitchen or breakfast nook!

Easter Is Almost Here - He Is Risen!

If you haven't heard.. We have a brand new easter print He Is Risen which is our April Print of The Month!

I love how Kelly chose to display the print in the dining room/kitchen/living area.  The rooms where everyone gathers to celebrate Easter.  He is Risen is indeed the reason we are celebrating:)

Here is the mantle in my living room! I really like that on a 12x12 size print you can read it from across the room or as soon as you walk in the front door - it is the focal point of the mantle.

We loved the print so much we also made it into notecards!!  Do you send Easter card?  I typically don't - but I think I will this year:)!  The notecards are 5x5 size flat on a watercolor paper and come in sets of 5, the back of the card says Hallelujah!  Perfect for pinning up, framing, on your fridge with a magnet and of course sending to just about anyone you can think of : )

I don't have a specific example, but I have read and heard a lot of quotes lately that have a lot to do with my current situation. This coming May will mark my 1 year anniversary of graduating college. In that year, I have been searching long and hard for a full time job. The quotes have to do with trusting God's plan, He has a reason, His plan is perfect. I don't understand, but I'm trying to trust. Thankful for friends who always lead me back to Him. Love them for that!

This verse has special meaning to me as it was spoken over me when I was younger. That if I remained faithful to the Lord and His plans for my life, He was going to make me an Esther who was used "for such a time as this."

I work as a nurse practitioner for a hospitalist service and just happened to be the one to answer the phone on our floor when a local doctor called to admit one of his patients. Turns out it was a friend of mine, and I usually don't like to admit my friends, but ordered some tests and turns out he has pancreatic cancer. I had to be the one to tell him what it might be - and his wife commented that I was an angel sent from God to be there for them during that time. Reminded me of this verse.

Behind the Design - Esther Card + Giveaway

So remember the part when Mordecai was talking to Esther about going to the King to beg for mercy and plead for her people?

and Esther reminded him that she hasn't been summoned to go before the King and that anyone who went before the King without being summoned would be put to death?

and Mordecai asked the question Who knows? - maybe you are the queen right now for such a time as this?

and Esther decided she would go to the King and ask for her people to be spared.  And they were.

Our circumstances are not Queen Esthers.  But we were all placed by God right now for such a time as this.

I find myself remembering Mordecai's question sometimes if I ever have a thought like. . .

I wonder if raising children was somehow easier in the 80's or the 50's or

time seems to go so much faster now or

the world is a much scarier, darker place than it was 50 or 75 or 100 years ago

and I know that I am a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, cousin, aunt right now for such a time as this.
